Blendabilities

Stampin' Up! has introduced Blendabilities and they are all available to order as of August 1, 2014. Stampin' Blendabilities Markers are exclusive alcohol-based marker sets. They come in a 3-pack of light, medium and dark shades (of the same color), and provide your projects a more saturated look with blended colors. We recommend using Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock with your Stampin' Up! Blendabilities, but choosing any one of our cardstocks will add a unique look to your project.

What Sets Them Apart:

• The Stampin' Up! rectangular barrel keeps your markers from rolling away!
• Flat storage helps to maintain the life of each marker.
• Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.

MDS by Stampn' Up!

I have just recently begun experimenting with Stampin' Up!s MDS digital studio and have been very impressed.  I am by no means going to end up scrapbooking all online or making online only projects anytime soon. But creating scrapbook pages and gifts with MDS printed accents has been a success. 

The following projects that have been highlighted in my blog recently did use MDS elements.

 

 

The projects were all created with traditional Stampin' Up! supplies with the addition of MDS elements created using the digital download of the stamp set: Starburst Sayings:

 

When you order a digital stamp set for MDS they contain all the same elements as the wood/clear sets.  Once you order, a link is provided to you for downloading your stamp set immediately.  This is then added to the great assortment that already comes with the initial MDS program.  The initial download includes:

* Full access to the software and design tools to create cards, photobooks, calendars, and more
* The chance to buy additional content
* Ability to order your projects from our professional print services

I was so excited to see how much came with the original download and love that it is only $19.95!  Also when you purchase the digital stamp sets they are at a much lower cost than the traditional stamps.  For example the Starburst Sayings Digital Stamp set can be purchased for $4.95 while the wood/clear sets are $25.95/$18.95.

I will never give up hand stamping my images but love the MDS also! Each has a place in the creative process. As you can see from the pictures, the colors matched wonderfully to the cardstock & inks used. The images are crisp and were easily cutout on the bigshot. And I had them right away and could print them on my own printer.

Stampin' Up! is also always working on new digital items. The website announces new digital downloads every month!  And the items are never removed or retired!

Annual Catalog Online

I love, love, love can I say it again? I Love Stampin' Up! Catalogs. I am so thrilled when each year the new catalog comes out. I count down the days till I can see it online. I love looking at all the new items, but I also looks at all the samples cards and projects. Well, I wondered if others feel the same way. I'm sure you do. 

I am going to post a link that will pull up the current catalog. I also have a link that shows all the supplies used for each and every sample in the catalog!! Yes!! Join me for my monthly Stamp Camp which meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7 PM. This month we will be making 3 gift card holders each.  Cost for this event is only $12 or FREE  with a $17 order.

For this project we will be using the Big Shot to emboss, and the Stampin' Up! Four Frames Clear Stamp Set cut out with the Decorative Label Punch.

Gift Box Step-by-Step

I loved how these little gift boxes turned out and they are so easy!  I wanted to share with all of you step-by-step instructions on how to create your own.  These boxes can be used for so many little gifts. When we did the first set at my gift and card class we filled them with four votive candles decorated with matching washi tape.

This box is also the perfect size for little candies like Recess Peanut Butter Cups etc...  Finished Dimensions are 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 3/4

Step 1:

 

Trim your paper to 6 1/4 square. 

Step 2:

Use your Envelope Punch Board to Punch and Score at 2 5/8 mark and then at 3 5/8


Step 3:

 

Repeat on all four sides and your paper will look like above

 

 

Step 4: 

Snip one little corner of each side so that it folds in. Fold all lines and use adhesive to permanently close on one end.
